tending to home
organizing oils & wellness products
For me, more than ever, this year feels like a time to tend to home, to heart, to children, to connections and to rest.
I’m sharing this with you in the event the ‘new year’ messaging out there isn’t resonating with you. It can be tricky to tune in to what we’re feeling on the inside when we have the outside world and all of the social media vortexes swirling around us.
If you are feeling the new energy, roll with it and enjoy! We each have our own inner frequency.
I have felt the pull towards heart nourishment and tending to our home. Our homes are our sanctuaries that we have to nourish ourselves as we go through our personal & collective struggles. Our homes get to be our sanctuaries.
Organization brings me a sense of ease and peace, so efforts toward this end always feel good for me. I’m not a natural at organizing physical object and space (I’m more of a people & idea organizer). That said, 45 years in, I’m getting better at it and I LOVE feeling organized.
When I feel I need more support, I go get it. I have Neat Toronto coming to support me organizing our closet. The owner Jen Rowe is a founding woman part of my business On Friday. She is a personal home organizer. Can’t wait; I will keep you posted!
In this spirit, here’s what I’ve been up to in our home:
This always feels delightful in my home.
First I remove anything that’s old, empty, expired, or I don’t use anymore. Then I create visually aesthetically appealing mini set-ups which bring me joy and gratitude each time I look at them.
Continue you on to learn more of my tips for tending to home with dōTERRA oils and other wellness products that I love.
Laundry Room
Restock some new wool dryer balls and place in a pretty basket in your laundry room. Pull out 2-4 oils you love for your laundry scent and arrange in your laundry room. For each dryer load, drop 1 drop of each oil onto each dryer ball and pop into dryer.
My current dryer ball blend:
1 drop Peppermint
1 drop Lavender
1 drop Cedarwood
Wool Dryer Balls
It is soooooo yummy. Let me know if you give this a try.
Collagen Sachets
Hot tip: Open up your box of Collagen and place your sachets vertically in a pretty vessel you love. Leave this out on the counter near your water source to remind you to take one each day — this also helps visually to remember when you need to re-stock.
I take my MetaPWR Collagen sachet everyday for my well-being with:
Marine Collagen
NMN, NADH
Hylaronic Acid
Liposomal Vitamin C
Resveratrol
Biotin
Sea Buckthorn
It’s loaded with goodness, tastes delicious and is so easy to take.
Kitchen Sink Refresh
First, clear out anything not regularly in use, at the sink. Then I I love to wash washed and refill all of my abōde kitchen cleaners: Dish Soap, Hand Soap, Hand Cream, Multi-Surface Spray, dishwasher pods. The refills are small, concentrated and aluminum (for recycling) and I keep them under the sink. I love looking at our sink — the products are all natural, clean so well, smell exquisite, look uniform all lined up together, and the amber glass bottles are gorgeous.
Kids Bedside Tables
I love re-stocking & re-arranging my girls oils and wellbeing set ups in their rooms. Each of them have 3-4 rollers to support them & 2-3 oils we love to diffuse during this season.
Currently diffusing or humidifying in girls rooms:
Serenity for sleep
Wild Orange, Lavender & Eucalyptus for colds, sniffles
Roman Chamomile & Lavender for a relaxation & rest
